Signature proven counterfeit
Oil on canvas, composition with tiger, signed "M. Pyk", size 46x36 cm. The painting was for sale at an online auction house in Stockholm, Sweden in autumn 2014. The painting was observed by a private person when it was identical to the previous counterfeit tigers of Madeline Pyk presented in "ArtSignatureDictionary.com". The police took the painting seized and contacted Madelaine Pyk who noted that she had not painted this tiger. Among other things, because it is painted with acrylics which Pyk never use. In police questioning submitter stated that she bought the painting at auction in 2001 for a price of SEK 20,000 (2,200 euros). After the investigation was concluded that the painting is a fake. It has been forfeited.

The auction house received a notice indicating that målninen was a probable forgery. The painting was confiscated and subsequent investigation revealed that the painting is a forgery. The artist, herself, has in writing, certified that the painting is a forgery.
