In the late 1980s and early 1990s, a large case of art forgery was discovered by police in Ostrobothnia in Finland. The extent was large with many people involved. Counterfeits of several famous artists were seized. Paintings for about 700.000-1,000.000 FIM had already been sold. After expert inquiry and they explained that this painting was not genuine. It was a forgery.
