Stellan Mörner's son, Hans Mörner, discovered this painting for sale at a major art dealer in Stockholm who said they bought it a few years earlier by an art dealer in Jönköping, Sweden. The painting must be seized and the investigation reveals that it is a forgery. After an expert investigation and judgment declared that the painting is not genuine. It is a forgery

H. was approached by a, for him unknown woman, who offered him to buy two pieces. paintings by Stellan Mörner at a great price! When they met the woman had brought two more paintings. The four paintings were sold for 12,000 Swedish crowns, of which 10,000 Swedish crowns related to the two-Morner paintings. The woman stated that she would be admitted to a nursing home and was therefore in need of money. After expert investigation and they explained that this painting is not genuine. It is a forgery.
