Abraham Jansz STORCK

Born in Amsterdam. Known for painting maritime scenes, a great master of the second generation Dutch school. Compositions include elaborate lively scenes with vessels from every angle, flags waving, active figures, based on keen observation and imagination, often on the Amstel and Vecht rivers. His work is in museums in Amsterdam, Cambridge, Dresden, The Hague, Dublin, New York and Vienna
