Aleksey FILIPPOV
1962, Russia
Aleksey Filippov was born in 1962 in Leningrad. 1984 graduated from The Leningrad High School of Arts and Design. In the 1980s he was a disciple of Ludmila Viktorovna Kutsenko. Since 1996 he is a member of Union of Artists of Russia.
Aleksey Filippov works in the field of plastic abstraction.
The form of the human body attracts him most of all, because it has maximum of plastic combinations and minimum of modules it contains. He makes the plot easier, because the plot of his painting must not interfere for the dramatic relations of the form and background and parts inside the form. These relations create a plastic image.
He tries to reveal the new opportunities of the paint and create a new synthesis of color.
