Al Jackson was born in the mid 1940's in Texas. He attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Chicago for a short time, he was mostly self-taught. His main love was painting still-life studies. He had had a number of one-man shows, but never attended any of the openings. "I would rather work than talk!"- he quiped. Jackson's works have been exhibited in many galleries throughout the United States.
