Arik (Erich) Brauer, biography:

Being an artistic multi talent, Arik Brauer has not only worked as a painter and graphic artist, but also as a stage designer, singer and poet. The artist started his artistic training at the Academy of Arts in Vienna, between 1945 and 1951. Later on his life, he returned and worked an Academy professor between 1986 and 1997. Besides, Brauer has always travelled a great deal and even lived a few years abroad in Israel and Paris. As a co-founder of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism, the artist has a colorful, flat style, with references to the Old Masters and Oriental miniatures. Arik Brauer received many awards and honors and his works were especially exhibited in his hometown Vienna.
