Carl Frisendahl traveled to Paris to train as an artist. He learned to sculpt and draw after the model at the Académie Colarossi and Académie Chaumiere, and two years later, he came to the Paris Salon with two sculptures. He started at the same time to paint and also acquired a new studio which was located at the Vanenue Chêtillon, which he held until his death 1948.

Carl Frisendahl flyttade 1906 till Paris för att studera till konstnär. Han lärde sig skulptera och teckna efter modell vid Académie Colarossi och Académie Chaumiêre, och två år senare kom han med på Paris-salongen med två skulpturer. Han började samtidigt att måla och skaffade sig också en ny ateljé som låg vid Vanenue de Chêtillon, vilken han behöll till sin död 1948.
