Dan Ranhart Dan Ranhart grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended Saturday classes at the Carnegie Institute and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. While in high school he received numerous awards for his work as well as a scholarship to "The Famous Artist Course." Dan graduated from Carnegie Mellon University, which at that time was known as Carnegie Tech, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design.
Throughout the years, Dan has been in numerous group exhibitions in Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and the Washington, D.C. area. His art work is in many private art collections throughout the country. His medium ranges from oil, water color, acrylic, and pencil to ceramic sculpture. He continues to receive awards and favorable recognition for his work. Dan is presently involved with portrait painting at Montgomery College open studio classes as well as miniature painting classes at Rossmoor Art Guild in Leisure World. He is a member of the Montgomery County Art Association, the Olney Art Association, Strathmore Artists and the Rossmoor Art Guild.
