Erika HÖGLUND

Erika Höglund is an artist residing in both Stockholm and the deep forests of Småland. She alters the hectic city life with the quiet serenity of the deep forests in the glass kingdom of Småland. Travelling between these extremes provides Erika with lots of new inspiration and energy for her different creations. She has travelled to most corners of the world but she always returns to Småland to fill up her energies. Erika works with glass, light installations, ceramics and photography both independently and in co-operation with other artists. Erika’s work has had focus on people and the human body.

Erika Höglund är en svensk konstnär, mest känd för sina skulpturer i glas och keramik. Hon har studerat vid Parsons School of Design i New York. Från 1997 till 2009 var Erika Höglund anställd av Målerås glasbruk, där hon formgav glaskonst. Från 2010 driver hon sitt eget showroom och galleri i Grönhögen på södra Öland.
Hon är dotter till konstnärerna Erik Höglund och Monica Backström, halvsyster till Anna Höglund samt dotterdotter till Astrid Sampe.
