In 1986 Moderna Museet in Stockholm had a great exhibition about Erland Cullberg. The exhibition was very popular and acclaimed - prices and demand increased. His paintings began to be forged. Around 100 counterfeits have been found since the late 1980's until today. Probably there are even more on the market.
