Studied at the Dusseldorf Academy under Eduard Gebhard was 1888/92 masterclass Gustav Schönleber in Karlsruhe, a member of the Willing Malkolonie houses. Also worked in the Dachau moss. Works of his hand in the National Gallery in Berlin, public collections Breslau, Dessau, Neue Pinakothek Müchen, Stuttgart, Leipzig, etc.
