Born in 1979. A large part of Jonas life has been about snowboarding. Although he does not describe himself as a professional rider, he has competed and participated in many international competitions. For about eight years he has had a studio in Funäsdalen, and has recently worked as an art teacher.
Wilhelmson soon became a part of the creative scene that emerged in the snowboard culture during the 1990s. Creativity connects art and so-called extreme sports. Different expressions of culture, whether it's music, photo, craft-made snowboards, artistic documentary films and paintings.
Although Wilhelmson says that all art is interesting, mainly oil on canvas has become his medium. Inspiration comes from the light of the mountain landscape, the interest in environmental issues, the relation to nature, the sky and life itself.
