Karoly FULOP
1893–1963, Hungary/USA

Born in Czabadka, Hungary; studied painting in Budapest, Munich and Paris. Immigrated to the United States, finally settling in California. Exhibited his work widely in the U.S. in many noted galleries such as Grand Central, designed murals for the Philadelphia Public Library, worked in sculpture and watercolor as well. Taught decorative arts in his studio beginning in 1931. Works are in several museum collections including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Cleveland Museum of Art.
