Luigi Rocca biography:

The Italian painter Luigi Rocca was born in Porpetto near Udine, where he began his artistic training. In Turin, he completed his studies and gained first public recognition for his figurative works. In 1980 his first solo exhibition was organized in Manaus, Brazil, which was followed by major exhibitions in Turin (1985) and Portofino (1987) establishing him as a hyper-realist. In 1996, Rocca moved to Venice, where he has since been represented by the gallery Melori & Rosenberg. In 1998, he experienced his American debut at the Art Expo in New York. Since then, further exhibitions have been held in New Orleans, San Francisco, Berlin and Hamburg.
