Mabel Amelia HEWIT
1903–1987, USA

Mabel Hewit was born in Ohio, and spent the last fifty years in Cleveland. She spent a great deal of time living and working in an artists' colony in Provincetown Massachusetts in printmaking. (Provincetown Art Association) The bulk of her lithography is said to have been done in the 1930's and 1940's, along with woodcut prints and linocut prints.
