Rabarama, (Paola Epifani) biography:
Paola Epifani, alias Rabarama, was born in Rome in 1969. She received her BFA from Venice Academy of Fine Arts in 1991 and immediately started entering her work in sculpture competitions, in Italy and abroad.
Towards 2011, Rabarama switched her focus to DNA and genetics. Her figures, which previously had shown no aspirations whatsoever and had just conveyed a status quo, underwent a further metamorphosis; they rip off the skin-wrapping they had been covered in from the beginning, symbolizing the need to cast off their casing, in the relentless attempt to free themselves, an exhausting and never-ending struggle.
The next stage of her journey consisted in the creation of men-trees covered in bark and interwoven grass. Her production became quite eclectic, including terracotta sculptures, painted bronze, pieces in marble and glass, oil paintings, resin inclusions, artistic gold jewels, recent rubber monotypes and graphics.
Her work has been exhibited worldwide, including at the Chinese Modern Biennial in Beijing, the Millennium Monument Art Museum in Beijing, and la Estancia Cultural Centre in Caracas.

Rabarama e' apprezzata da collezionisti di caratura mondiale e sue opere monumentali sono state acquisite da musei in Atene, Pechino e Miami.
Nata nel 1969 a Roma, figlia d'arte, la sua educazione artistica si completa all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia. Diplomatasi a pieni voti nel 1991, prende parte fin da subito a numerosi premi nazionali e internazionali di scultura, ottenendo un crescente successo di critica e pubblico che la porterà ad essere invitata alla 54° Biennale di Venezia e ad esporre in spazi pubblici delle maggiori città del mondo (Parigi, Firenze, Shanghai, Miami ed altre).
Rabarama attualmente vive e lavora a Padova, gestendo autonomamente la sua carriera e collaborando a livello internazionale con importanti gallerie d'arte in Francia, Olanda, Belgio, Inghilterra, Svizzera e Stati Uniti. (vedi mappa)

Paola Epifani nació en Roma, la hija del arte , el padre es un pintor y un escultor y su madre es una artista de la cerámica.
Ya de niño demuestra un talento innato para la escultura: 10 años participaron en la Exposición Internacional para el 30 aniversario de la OTAN .
Asistió a la Escuela de Arte de Treviso y luego la ' Accademia di Belle Arti en Venecia donde se graduó en 1991.
En 1995 comenzó su colaboración con la galería de Dante Vecchiato , que traerá al artista a desarrollar los principales temas de su obra.
Desde 1990 vive y trabaja en Padua .
En 1990 el gobierno mexicano la eligió como el representante italiano en la competencia internacional en Toluca y no crea una escultura de madera de dos metros, y luego compradas por el Museo de Arte Moderno por su colección permanente.
Sus esculturas de metal gigantesca (bronce, aluminio) se encuentran generalmente en el suelo. Sus obras están casi siempre decoradas con el patrón, textura o diseños en esculturas de metal están coloreadas a mano.
Su producción artística es ecléctica e incluye esculturas en mármol, bronce, aluminio, caucho, inclusiones de resina, pinturas al óleo.
Desde 2000 su obra comenzó a ser exhibida en los más prestigiosos museos italianos y extranjeros, sobre todo en la EE.UU. y París .
En 2011 participa en la 54 ª " Exposición Internacional de Arte de la Bienal de Venecia ", en el Pabellón de Italia (Arsenal).
Recientemente uno de su escultura monumental fue comprado por el ayuntamiento de la ciudad de Shanghai , y se colocó en la plaza donde se alza el edificio del gobierno de la ciudad, es la primera ópera italiana comprada por el gobierno chino.
En 2013 colaboró con el Cirque du Soleil en Las Vegas para el evento filantrópico "One Night de One Drop".
Tres estatuas: Trans-letra (bronce pintada de blanco / negro, 2000), la laberintitis (bronce pintada de blanco / verde, 2000) y Co-stell-acción (aluminio pintado de blanco / burdeos, 2002) se encuentran en la línea de costa Falcomatà de Reggio Calabria desde 2007 , con motivo de la exposición Rabarama. Rabarama, alias Paola Epifani, est née à Rome en 1969.Elle a débuté son éducation artistique à l’Ecole des Beaux- Arts de Trévise, suivie par l’Académie des Beaux-arts de Venise où elle obtient son diplôme avec d’excellentes notes en 1991.De 1995 à aujourd’hui, Rabarama a exposé dans 102 expositions dont 78 étaient des expositions en solo dans 12 pays du monde : Belgique, Chine, France, Japon, Grèce, Italie, Mexique, Angleterre, Suisse, Les Pays-Bas, Les Etats-Unis et le Venezuela.
Elle a reçu un grand nombre de récompenses et de reconnaissances sur les scènes d’Art aussi bien nationales qu’internationales mais l’évènement le plus important a été sa participation extraordinaire à la dernière Biennale de Venise, la 54ème exposition d’Art internationale, Pavillon Italien avec une sculpture Monumentale en marbre blanc.Les sculptures Monumentales de Rabarama ont été acquises par d’importantes institutions ou musées en Italie, Chine et aux USA.

Momenteel woont en werkt ze in Padova. Ze is de dochter van een kunstenaar en al in haar vroege jeugd bleek ze een aangeboren talent voor sculpturen te bezitten.
Ze startte haar kunstopleiding aan de Art High School in Treviso, gevolgd door de Venice Academy of Fine Arts.
Ze studeerde in 1991 af met hoge cijfers en begon gelijk met deelnemen aan een groot aantal nationale en internationale sculptuur competities, wat haar veel lof bezorgde van zowel het publiek als de critici.
Sinds 1995 werkt Rabarama aan haar eigen zeer persoonlijke onderzoek, die zich richt op een specifieke kijk op de wereld en het leven, vooral gebaseerd op de ontkenning van vrije wil, de voorbeschikking van gebeurtenissen en de reductie van de mens naar slechts een biologische computer.
Het lot van ieder persoon is puur en alleen bepaald door genetica en de maatschappij, dus deze vitale functies bepalen onvermijdelijk elk aspect van zijn of haar bestaan, terwijl het psychosomatische bestaan gereduceerd is tot slechts fysieke en chemische reacties.
